Christmas decorations

Our staff have been busy turning Lornebank into a winter wonderland with our Christmas trees up around the Home. It is safe to say we are all in the Christmas spirit!

Memorial tree

Our beautiful memorial tree is now standing proud in front of our Home. This tree was kindly donated by local Shahid Rassaq. We thank him so much for his generosity. This tree is going to act as a memorial for our loved ones who have passed, as well as a fundraising opportunity for our residents’ […]

Festive activities

Our residents enjoyed making paper Christmas trees and baubles in their arts and craft session today. We also held a Santa hunt, whereby residents collected letters from Santa hats with the goal of making a festive phrase from the jumbled letters! The winners received some chocolate and little bottles of wine.

5 Stars!

We are thrilled to have been awarded a 5 out of 5 Food Hygiene Rating for yet another year, as displayed by Home Manager Jayne from outside our Home. We pride ourselves on the hard work of our staff to meet the high standards that we set here at Sandiacre.

Fitness session!

Our residents enjoyed getting active with a fitness class today. A big thank you to Sophie from Gfitness for running the session and giving our residents some fun exercises!

St Andrew’s Day Meal

Our residents enjoyed their St Andrew’s Day meal today, chosen by the Clydesdale unit who won our menu competition last week. A big thank you to our chef Martyn for preparing such a delicious four course meal!

Christmas Festivities

Here at Lornebank, we have been getting excited for the festive period by scheduling our Christmas activities for December. Our residents are looking forward to our Design a Christmas Card session on Tuesday 14th and Karen’s Christmas Quiz on Monday 20th. We will also be holding a Secret Santa for the residents, as well as […]

Christmas is coming!

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed having a sing and a dance to entertainment from Robin Mathers this week. We have also started getting into the Christmas spirit by making some decorations and arts and crafts!

Remembrance Day

Earlier this month, we commemorated Remembrance Day at Pitkerro Care Centre. We will forever remember the sacrifices made by millions of brave men and women to give us the world we have today.

When singer, Dave Steer, comes to perform at the Home, our residents and staff are instantly uplifted. We love a sing-a-long and a dance here at Harbour, and we are so grateful to Dave for always putting a smile on our faces.
