From our newly redecorated top floor, our Cherry suite, we are building out our residential care community and attracting local people who seek a more independent style of living, in a vibrant coastal setting with the peace of mind that our carers are there to support you 24/7.
With views of the Mendip hills, our top-floor lounge is a great place to relax or socialise with new friends. Our meals are social, a time when everyone comes together to enjoy nutritionally balanced, seasonal fare, much of which is sourced from local producers.
Most of our residents are local to North Somerset and Portishead, coming from neighbouring towns such as Clevedon, Nailsea, Pill and Long Ashton. We also have some residents from Bristol who are attracted to our coastal community, with its excellent local amenities and affordable pricing.

Our carers are a discreet but familiar presence, with many of them having served us for many years now. Some of them reside on site and are a reassuring presence. Familiarity helps to ensure care is well adapted to each individual and supportive relationships between carers and residents flourish.
Being a resident at Harbour means that many of life’s burdens are taken care of, such as bills, cooking and laundry. This allows our residents to focus on life’s pleasures, such as making new friends, enjoying the togetherness of Harbour living and our trips out into the local community.

Never a truer word has been spoken! We are an active bunch, and why not? Life is what you make it and we make it fun.
There tends to be more dancing and singing on the first two floors of Harbour, with perhaps a slight bias towards more cerebral pastimes on the top residential floor. Quizzes, games and other such fun are in evidence, but if it’s a dance you fancy, plenty of that is available when our entertainers come to Harbour.
We like to get out and about too. When the weather allows, our garden is a haven of activity. A place of entertainment, of sun and relaxation or even just a great place to meet loved ones. Children can play on our swings or with our rabbits, who live in the garden. It’s a great space for visitors to catch up with loved ones.
We get out into Portishead too, and sometimes out into the wilds of North Somerset. With the marina and Lake Grounds so close, you will often find us enjoying an ice cream and whiling away the hours enjoying a gentle stroll.
Our residential care fees
Care home fees include all meals and accommodation, bills, laundry and activities. The final price depends on each resident’s individual needs, which are assessed by our deputy, Renata. Shorter stay respite care is available if that suits your circumstances.
Our fees are highly competitive with those from the Bristol area, and we feel, with our coastal setting, that we provide a highly attractive alternative to residential care homes in Bristol in terms of both cost and amenities.
