Hudson Healthcare GDPR Statement
Updated Privacy & Data Protection Statement
At Hudson Healthcare, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our residents, their families, and our website visitors. This statement explains how we collect, use, and store your data.
1. Digital Marketing & Advertising Cookies
We use cookies and tracking technologies to improve your experience and measure the effectiveness of our outreach across various platforms:
- Google: We use cookies (such as
_gcl_aw) and Enhanced Conversions to attribute enquiries. This involves using secureSHA-256cap S cap H cap A – 256𝑆𝐻𝐴-256 hashing to protect your email/phone data when measuring if an online click led to an offline enquiry.
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram): We use the Meta Pixel to understand visitor activity. This allows us to show relevant information to people who have visited our site and measure the performance of our social media advertisements.
We use Heritage Care Partners Ltd to support our marketing, enquiry management and campaign reporting. Where Heritage Care Partners processes personal information on our behalf, it does so as a data processor acting under our instructions.
We also use Perspective Software GmbH to provide technology used for certain online enquiry forms and landing pages. Information submitted through these forms may therefore be processed by Perspective as an authorised service provider.
Information collected may include your contact details, your relationship to the person requiring care, the type of care being sought and other information you choose to provide as part of your enquiry. This may include information relating to health or care needs, which may constitute special category personal data and will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
To manage enquiries and assess the effectiveness of our marketing, we may share limited information with Heritage Care Partners about the progress and outcome of enquiries generated through these campaigns. This may include whether contact has been made, whether a visit or assessment has taken place, whether an admission has been agreed and whether the prospective resident has subsequently moved into Harbour Care Centre.
We also use Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, for advertising. Where you have provided the required consent, technologies including the Meta Pixel and/or Conversions API may be used to measure advertising performance and provide Meta with limited advertising and conversion information to help us understand and improve the effectiveness of our campaigns.
Information provided to advertising platforms is limited to information appropriate for advertising measurement and optimisation. We do not provide Meta with detailed health information, care assessments, medical records, care plans or other sensitive information relating to an individual’s care needs.
Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose will be shared. Detailed medical records, care plans or clinical information will not be shared with Heritage Care Partners for marketing attribution or campaign reporting purposes.
Hudson (Harbour) Limited remains the data controller for personal information processed in connection with these care enquiries.
- Microsoft (Bing): We use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) cookies to track how you interact with our website after clicking an ad on Bing or Yahoo, helping us refine our service visibility.
2. Care Home Management (Syncurio)
All lead and resident information is securely stored within Syncurio Care Software, our dedicated management platform. This data is used solely for permissive marketing and essential operations, including:
- Recording and updating care preferences.
- Communicating essential information regarding the wellbeing and interests of residents.
- Events: We may occasionally notify family members of upcoming home events they may wish to attend.
3. Telephone Communications & External Partners
To ensure we are available to support you 24/7, we use the following services:
- Moneypenny: Our 24-hour sales and enquiry lines are managed by Moneypenny, who operate in strict accordance with UK GDPR.
- Call Recording: Calls made to our home receptions are recorded for accuracy and training purposes. These recordings are stored securely for 3 months before being deleted.
4. Your Rights & Opt-Out
You can manage your preferences or opt out of tracking via our website’s cookie consent banner. To request access to or deletion of your data stored in Snycurio, please contact enquiries@hudsonhealthcare.co.uk
