A huge thank you to the Daily Record and the Hamilton Advertiser for their recent articles on our home!
Throughout this pandemic, Lornebank Care Centre’s priority has been ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all its residents and staff. Whilst the home’s units remain isolated from one another in the best interest of residents and staff, the Care Centre has continued to encourage a healthy competitive spirit, communication and friendship in new and creative ways, despite the physical separation.
Each week, all units have been taking part in friendly competitions and the home has been raising the stakes by establishing a ‘Lornebank League Table’. Competitions have included a talent show, in which residents sang and performed, a design a t-shirt challenge, which revealed a number of extremely talented artists, a poetry competition, where residents composed beautiful poems about their lockdown experiences, and a grow a sunflower competition.
Daniel Jenks, Home Manager at Lornebank Care Centre, said: “It has been a real pleasure to witness the joy our competitions have brought to both residents and staff alike. A huge thank you to my dedicated and committed team for enabling our residents to stay happy, healthy and connected under the challenging circumstances.”
