Update

As part of our regular testing, we have identified that eight residents in our Linden Lea unit, and three staff members are Covid-positive. It brings us some comfort that at current, all affected appear to be asymptomatic, however we are closely monitoring the situation. We know that this will cause significant concern for friends and family of those working, and in our care, at Lornebank Care Centre, and we remain committed to doing all that we can to support and protect our staff, residents and their loved ones at this challenging time.

While at present those affected seem to be restricted to one unit, all residents have begun isolating, as well as the impacted staff members, and those who they have come into close contact with have been notified. We will continue to take every precaution to shelter the wider home at this time.

We are working closely with Public Health Scotland to follow guidance and continue our rigorous schedule of routine testing. In addition to this our PPE is fully stocked, and we continue to follow strict social distancing guidelines. As you know, and as part of our proactive approach to the virus, we suspended all in-person visitation earlier this month in response to the rising figures in our area.

It has been our priority to make contact with family members, and we have attempted to reach the loved ones of all those in our care, however we wanted to share this update to ensure that all those impacted are kept aware of the situation. Please do reach out to the Home on 01698 539440, should you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks to the caution and vigilance of our staff and partners, as well as careful use of PPE, we are pleased that this outbreak has been identified early and are confident that it will be managed effectively. We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience, and assure you that we remain dedicated to providing the best possible care for your loved ones.
