Amidst increased risks posed by coronavirus, we are committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents in a safe and sterile environment.
We held a couple of competitions this week! We started the week with a cupcake decorating competition, which the Peacock and Clydesdale units were crowned the joint winners of. Later in the week we held a coat of arms design competition in each unit, which the residents thoroughly enjoyed! The Peacock unit achieved first place, and the Willowbank unit were runners up.
We’ve enjoyed a couple of treats, such as a cocktail afternoon and some delicious cakes on another.
We had a fantastic time playing Bingo – a favourite activity amongst us all here at Lornebank!
Our residents sent virtual messages to their relatives and friends to let them know that they are safe, happy and healthy.
We had a bag piper perform from outside of the home so that all the residents could see and hear from him from the inside. This really cheered everyone up.
Our staff received some lovely gifts this week. The Regent Way Boots Pharmacy team donated some supplies. Glow Promotions sent us some personalised sweet boxes. These small acts of kindness are so greatly appreciated by us all and are a true symbol of community spirit! They really helped boost staff morale during this challenging time.
