I just wanted to take some time to thank you and all the staff at Pitkerro for the way you have looked after my Uncle over the last few years. During his two spells in Pitkerro he was always very happy and content. Although he was confused at times he was happy and upbeat and always had lots to say about what he had been up to.

Care homes can be a minefield for relatives finding the best place for their loved ones but I never one time felt anything but total confidence in Pitkerro. During Iain’s first spell with you I still lived in Scotland and visited almost daily so I had a keen sense of where he was. When I moved to the US I was able to do so in the confidence that he was somewhere that he would be happy, well cared for and safe.

Even two weeks ago when I spoke with Iain he was speaking positively about getting back to Pitkerro. That speaks volumes about the service and care you and your staff provide. The little extra things make a difference and the last time I spoke to him was on his birthday on Tuesday. It was nice for me to speak to him as cards were being read to him that he had received included one from yourselves. An incredibly thoughtful touch that genuinely moved me and my mum who was with him when I called.

Please pass on my thanks to all your staff. I am so grateful for everything you did for him.
