Donna Evans

Sandiacre Care Home Manager

Donna Evans, the friendly face you'll see at Sandiacre Court Care Centre, has been a part of the Nottinghamshire care community for over 15 years. Starting as a care assistant, Donna's passion for helping others led her to work with people of all ages, from those with learning disabilities to young adults and more recently the elderly. She's now an experienced care home manager with a thorough appreciation of how to deliver great care whilst nurturing a vibrant care community.

Her vision for Sandiacre Court is to create a welcoming, home-from-home environment for residents. She believes the responsibility for good care is shared across each and every staff member. Everyone has a role to play in building a caring community. She loves spending time on the floor, chatting to residents or helping out where she can; definately a door 'half open' sort of a manager. She is always approachable and ready to address any concerns. Her experience allows her to understand the needs of both residents and carersand she believes in building a strong team by providing thorough training, mentorship, and support.

Donna recognizes the importance of community involvement. She welcomes local organizations, churches, nurseries, and businesses to engage with the residents, fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. Although new to Sandiacre, Donna is familiar with the surrounding areas, living as she does in the city of Nottingham, and being more than familiar with towns such Derby, Ilkeston, and other towns in Derbyshire like Belper and Matlock. She's eager to learn more about the local community and explore opportunities for residents to engage with organisations, clubs and societies from the surrounding area.

Donna's dedication to providing a welcoming and supportive environment, combined with her strong community focus, makes her a valuable asset to Sandiacre Court Care Centre

Lynsey Robbie

Dundee Care Home Manager

Lynsey Robbie, the heart of Pitkerro Care Centre in Dundee, brings over two decades of nursing expertise to her role as Care Home Manager. A registered general nurse, her journey began within the NHS, where she honed her skills in intensive care and medical wards. Driven by a desire for more personalized elderly care, she transitioned to the private sector, steadily progressing from nursing to being a regional manager. More recently, and luckily for us, Lynsey now just wants to focus on being the manager of Pitkerro, a home where she knows everyone by name.

Lynsey’s commitment is evident in her hands-on approach; the home has zero agency staff, something most Dundee nursing homes are unable to match but when nurses have been absent through illness, Lynsey has been know to volunteer to fill the gap! She loves the work and this also helps her to remain connected to the daily realities of care. Her focus extends beyond management, as she prioritizes creating a warm, homely environment where residents feel valued and supported. She's passionate about listening to their life stories and actively dispelling negative perceptions of nursing homes as being dull and lifeless places by providing varied, engaging activities and a rich quality of life.

Believing in empowering her team, Lynsey emphasizes strong training and values staff contributions. Ultimately, her dedication lies in delivering high standards of care and fostering a nurturing environment for every resident in her care.

Wayne Price

Home Manager

Having 14 years of experience in the health/social care sector provides me with the necessary grounding and knowledge to embark on this exciting journey at Harbour Residential. I have been a qualified nurse since 2007, completing my training at the University of the West of England.

I have held various roles in the NHS at both the Bristol General Hospital and Bristol Royal Infirmary, including as Senior Staff Nurse and Clinical Site Manager. After 10 years at the NHS, I then transitioned into the care home industry, working at 3 local care homes in Clinical Service Manager and HM roles.

I pride myself on achieving and maintaining high ratings with the CQC at all the homes I have worked at. Ensuring the consistent provision of the highest quality care and support possible to residents, staff and relatives is my priority.

It is a privilege to be a part of the Harbour Residential team and I very much look forward to meeting you all.
